Adopt-A
Are you tired of seeing litter along the road side as you drive home? Take action and adopt-a-street or adopt-a-county road! Becoming an adoptee is one of the most effective and direct courses of action an individual, organization or company can make on the local environment. All you have to do is sign up and complete 8 hours per year of cleaning up your roadside area. The Beautification Commission will supply you with the trash bags, gloves, and litter grabbers at no cost. A sign will be posted on your adopted county road or street to recognize the family, organization or company as 
the adoptee of the road. The sign not only shows that you are committed to your community (very effective public relations for companies and organizations), but it has been shown that adoption sign itself reduces litter by up to 20-25%.
