Trashbash posterThis year's cleanup event, Trash Bash 2012, will be held on September 29. The event will consist of a 3-hour (8am through 11am) public clean up effort of the lake shorelines, followed by an appreciation/award luncheon at Garvan Woodland Gardens on Lake Hamilton (11am through 1pm). Please click on the image to see the full-size poster for the event.

The purpose of the cleanup is to both clean up litter in and around Lakes Catherine & Hamilton and to educate the public that everyone must pull together in the effort to protect and enhance the environmental integrity and recreational values of our lakes and the environment.

Over 300 people participate each year in this effort removing hundreds of bags of trash from our beautiful lakes.  We are excited that this event has become a continuing partnership and commitment from many community businesses, citizens, property owners, lake users and local government – to ensure that we continue to enjoy this premier recreation resource that hydropower has provided.
